EXCITING NEWS ABOUT WATER POWER PACKS

In September 2008 Duchy Hose & Hydraulics received a web enquiry from Subsea Systems. Subsea Systems is a division of Cameron Ltd who are a world renowned deepwater petrochemical production and systems company Subsea systems required a ethylene glycol/water power pack, specifically to be used for the pressure testing of sub-sea manifolds with the added ability to run power tools from the same unit.

Dave Nance at Duchy Hose & Hydraulics although experienced in oil type hydraulic
systems quickly understood that the use of water as a pumping medium meant new sources of supply of components. As Duchy Hose & Hydraulics prides itself in delivering exceptional customer service, a clean sheet approach was taken in the system design. Once preliminary drawings had been made, Dave began sourcing the components that would be needed in the manufacture & build of a water based power pack.

After several consultations with the customer, David drew up the design plans for Subsea Systems to ensure that the customer needs were not only met but were exceeded.

As soon as the customer accepted the Duchy design and quotation, the ordering of components and construction began immediately. David kept in constant contact with the customer to fine tune the specification of the required power pack.

As the project neared its conclusion David collated the necessary test certificates and certificates of conformity and on the 18th December, the power pack was given it's final testing before being shipped out to Aberdeen to meet the customer's shipping expectations.

On 5th January David at Duchy Hose & Hydraulics contacted the buying house to ensure safe receipt of the machine and to ensure their satisfaction with the finished product. After seeing the finished machine the buying house expressed an interest in being part of similar one off engineering project builds.
